National volleyball championship comes to campus

Washington University will be a hotbed of volleyball activity this weekend, Nov. 19-21, as the 2010 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship comes to the Field House. Included in the eight-team field are the WUSTL Bears, looking for back-to-back national titles. FULL STORY

School of Medicine students held an International Food Fair Nov. 12 in the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center Atrium for which 10 groups of student chefs prepared dishes from nine world regions and served them to their classmates. FULL STORY

Seventh Annual Children’s Film Showcase

The Center for the Humanities and the Program in Film & Media Studies will host the Seventh Annual Children’s Film Showcase Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19 and 20. “An Exploration of Children’s Films and Their Audiences,” is presented in conjunction with Cinema St. Louis and will feature four screenings.   • Men’s soccer falls in shootout loss to Loras. The men’s soccer team had its season come to a heartbreaking end with a shootout loss to Loras College in the second round of the NCAA tournament Nov. 14. WUSTL ended the season with a 14-1-5 overall record, and an 8-0-3 mark at home.
